Meet the School Psychologist
Maria Prastiti
My name is Maria Prastiti and I am a Registered School/Educational Psychologist (Registration No. 669). I was born and raised in Limassol. I completed my undergraduate studies in Psychology, followed by a three-year Applied Master’s degree in School Psychology at the University of Cyprus.
During my postgraduate studies, I completed 1,500 hours of supervised practical training at the Educational Psychology Service of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sport and Youth.
During my practicum, I had the opportunity to collaborate with different schools, supporting children, parents, and teachers through psychological services.
Through my work, my goal is to empower children, parents, and educators. I focus on issues related to school and learning, social-emotional development, and the behavior of children and adolescents within the school, family, and community environments. My aim is to provide high-quality services that contribute to the promotion and strengthening of the mental health of children and adolescents. As part of my commitment to ongoing professional development, I stay informed about the latest advancements in the field of School Psychology and continually enrich my knowledge and skills. From time to time, I attend various training seminars to support my growth both professionally and personally.
What Can I Do For You
Systems
Every child belongs to multiple systems (family, school, community) that interact with one another. Changes within these systems affect the child in various ways.
Learning
Promoting equal educational opportunities and fostering learning with a focus on children’s strengths and best‑practice strategies.
Behaviour
Every behavior communicates something. Behind unwanted behavior are feelings and needs that deserve attention and care.
Mental Health
Mental health is just as important as physical health and deserves the same level of attention and support. We strive to promote mental health and well‑being.
